Two F/A18A Hornets, the KC-30A air-to-air refuelling aircraft and the E-7A Airborne Early Warning and Control aircraft worked together during the  mission. The mission provided on-call interdiction and dynamic targeting support. 

At the request of the Iraqi Government the RAAF’s Air Task Group (ATG) as part of the ADF’s Operation OKRA is operating within a US-led international coalition assembled to disrupt and degrade Daesh.

The ATG comprises six RAAF F/A-18 Hornets, an E-7A Wedgetail Airborne Early Warning and Control aircraft and a KC-30A Multi-Role Tanker Transport aircraft.
